How to Open and Use Your Files

Medicine Academy delivers all course materials securely through Google Drive, Mega, or pCloud. Each product includes original files from the source website—no format conversion or modification is done by us. Below you’ll find everything you need to know to download and open your files on any device.

1️⃣ File Formats You May Receive

• Video files: MP4, TS, AVI and other native formats from the source.
• Documents: PDF and EPUB study guides.
• Interactive QBank packages: EXE (Windows launchers).

Note: MP4 videos can often be streamed online, but due to large file size we strongly recommend downloading them first for smooth playback. Other formats (TS, AVI, etc.) must be downloaded completely before opening.

2️⃣ How to Open Files on Each System

🪟 Windows

• Video files (MP4 / TS / AVI): Use VLC Media Player or Pot Player for best compatibility.
• PDF documents: Recommended → Foxit PDF Reader.
• EPUB files: Use Calibre eBook Reader.
• QBank (EXE): Simply double-click the .EXE file → follow on-screen instructions. If SmartScreen shows a warning: Click More info → Run anyway.

🍎 macOS

• Video files: Use VLC for Mac or IINA Player (iina.io).
• PDF: The built-in Preview app works perfectly, or PDF Expert.
• EPUB: Use Books (app pre-installed) or Calibre for Mac.
• QBank (EXE): EXE files are Windows-only. However, you can run them using Parallels Desktop or Wine for Mac.

🤖 Android

• Video: Use VLC for Android or MX Player.
• PDF: Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• EPUB: Moon+ Reader or ReadEra.
• QBank EXE: Cannot run directly on Android — use a Windows computer for best results.

📱 iPhone / iPad (iOS / iPadOS)

• Video: Use the built-in Files + Player or VLC for Mobile.
• PDF: Built-in Books app or Foxit Reader for iOS.
• EPUB: Open directly in Books app (tap “Share” → “Books”).
• QBank EXE: Not supported natively on iOS.

3️⃣ Downloading from Google Drive, Mega, and pCloud

🔹 Google Drive

1. Open the shared Drive link.
2. Right-click → Download.
3. If it’s a folder, Drive will automatically compress it into a ZIP before downloading.

Tip: If “Quota exceeded” appears → Add Shortcut to My Drive → open from your own Drive → Download again.

🔹 Mega

1. Click the shared link → wait for the file to load.
2. Click Download as ZIP or Standard Download.
3. If the file is very large, use the MEGA Desktop App for stability.

🔹 pCloud

1. Open the link → click Download Folder.
2. If you see multiple files, you can select individual ones or the entire folder.

4️⃣ Notes for Interactive QBanks

All interactive QBanks are provided as .exe files built for Windows. To use them:

1. Download and extract the ZIP completely.
2. Double-click the .exe file → follow on-screen instructions.
3. If you’re on macOS, you can run it through Parallels Desktop or Wine.

For each QBank, you’ll find an index.html inside the package that lets you browse questions offline through your browser as well.
